I have no clue of what I want to do with most of my life. It's not that I don't like things, but that I don't like them enough. I enjoy music but have never learned, I love computers but am not a fluent coder, I like writing but never finish a story. My main goal is to do something I love and at some point stop being lazy. Design interests me, but I can't be bothered to learn semantics, I want to see the world but am afriad of never coming home, I enjoy philosophy but don't put in enough effort to follow complex knowledge, hell I even love learning, but sitting down to study for 4 to 6 hours is beyond me.

Somebody once told me that being the amatuer is far better than being a professional, for you are an amatuer by love, not by nessecity. Your craft is yours to shape, your style is simply how you define your work. You're not bothered with semantics, and will never have to do something you don't like. As an amatuer, only love guides you. The only difference between a professional and an amatuer is that professionals gets paid for their work. And to be paid the professional must fill out several forms, conform to needs of the consumer, not of his heart. When you are still an amatuer enough is never enough. There can be no measure of quality, beacuse you are not looking to please anybody but yourself, and so long as passion for your craft guides you, you will not settle for anything. Your capacity is limited only by the time you spend on your work. Professionals take breaks from work to live, amatuers take breaks from life to work.
